As promised, here is the link to the data set I have been using in the placement posts. Most of you will probably be most interested in the "Department Trends" tab. If you find that data should be added, please email me with the following information, preferably in order and separated by commas OR add the relevant information to PhilAppointments, which I will use to update this data set from time to time:

1) Year of placement

2) Name of placed candidate

3) PhD-granting institution of placed candidate (and department, where relevant)

4) Type of placement and name of hiring institution

5) AOS (if known)

6) Prior positions (if known)

Enjoy!

There are several mistakes in the data that you collected and kindly shared.
    T. Pashby, M. Adams, and Y. Ishida are from Pitt HPS, not Pitt Philosophy. This mistake shows up in all the pages of the excel file.
Benny Goldberg (graduation: 2012; currently instructor (permanent position) at the University of Southern Florida) is missing from your data.
Stinson graduated in 2013, not in 2012 (currently VAP at Ryerson).
I did not understand the numbers reported for Pitt HPS on the graduation data page.
Since Pitt HPS places almost all its students, I suspect correcting these mistakes will improve our performance in your analysis.

Thank you for this! As I said in my email, I updated the data.
For others: The years in the far-left column are years of placement, not years of graduation. And the graduation data comes either from the APA Guide to Graduate Programs (2012 and/or 2013) or from emails. I used data from 2009 to 2013 for sake of consistency and breadth (those were the years reported in the 2013 Graduate Guide). 2014 numbers are obviously not available yet, and few placements went to these candidates in any case.
